Storm Damage

Seagull you must have known for a long time
The shape of things to come — Seagull: Bad Company

Untitled (9)

Here on the North East coast of England, we are used to bad weather coming in from the sea, but this winter we have had more than our fair share to endure. The natural world, of course, bears the brunt. There have been stranded seal pups and dead birds aplenty along the stretch of coast near my home.

I made this image while out adding to my “Edge of Town” project (more on that in a future post, along with a gallery).

Sometimes things are just sad and beautiful all at the same time.
